How do you keep so up to date with the scene? I recently moved back from China and I want to keep up with stuff like this, but everytime I read your substacks I am completely overwhelmed lol. Really prolific stuff!
Ha, sorry it’s so overwhelming… there’s a lot going on. And this is only the stuff that makes it to international platforms really — there’s been a few records this year I’ve not written about here because they’ve only been available on NetEase etc.
Mostly WeChat is probably the answer to your question though. I’ve known people involved in the scenes and been writing about them for years so a lot of it comes from that really
